A very, very short rp during the Moonlight Festival. Short story even shorter, Erskine was finally woken up. xD

Also don't worry guys, I won't be making all my pictures like this from now on. xD I just wanted to make a quick thing that was at least a little similar to the one where he'd fallen asleep.

<Sky-Lily> The gentle night and the calm buzzings of the cats around him had lulled Erskine into falling asleep right on the cobblestone ground. The tom cat was napping rather peacefully, and had been this way for what could have been half an hour or so. Enjoyable as the Moonlight Festival was, it wasn't eventful enough to keep the guard awake this time around. Earlier he had spoken briefly with a Cayahan student by the name of Lava, who he'd met when the student tripped over him; and afterward, watched a young love blossom between two other Cahayan cats whose names he hadn't quite caught. The minor events had both warmed and humored him, and he'd marvelled at how grateful he was to know that not all of Cahaya was as crazy as Holly-Two. It was around this point that sleep had taken him, but now Erskine was close to waking up.

However... there was a good chance he might need a helpful prod to open his eyes.


<EmberMuse> Ty's shrugged, "I don't know, it's not like I know any other cats than you anyways." he said rolling his eyes but chuckled. He looked at her as she sighed looking all down and dreary and grimaced. Brooding she-cats. Something he wasn't good with, well most any she-cat. Scratch, a sappy any cat. His tail curled and uncurled around his paws as he looked at the sky as she did, enjoying their night on the town was on the lower list of things he was doing really. He hadn't expected her to for some reason, Ty had actually imagined that she'd be following Damian around or somthing, then again she had been chatting with Crystal. His ears perked at mention of their conversation, what had they been talking about that had put her in a 'state?' he didn't know but he was glad he hadn't been around to listen or be a part of it. He nodded with what she said, listening as she rambled about Paige. "Well sorry to say I can't help you much with the gossip, I'm almost never around her. Don't really know what she's up too." he shrugged. Occasionally she might make him do some trivial task but never anything much. His whiskers twitched again and he looked at the sky, trying to clear his mind like Talicka. "If she's always with her sugardaddy then I don't know why it wouldn't make more sense to think they know more about her coming and goings then Suran." he chuckled, his claws sliding out of their sheaths as he clawed at the ground in boredom. He wished he could go back to camp, but he would never go on his own. He'd rather stick to the center of the crowd when they headed back to safety. Let the guards deal with that. He barely knew how to hunt let alone having to defend himself. It was almost annoying how little he knew, his own field of study or any other. Maybe he should have tried for crafting. They had it so easy, sitting around making nests and pretty things. Ty shook his head as he glanced at Tali again before lifting his face towards the stars above. "So... uh... make any new friends?" he asked trying to turn the conversation into something mind numbing so he didn't really have to pay all that much attention. Last festival he'd met a few students of the opposing gang, he'd known even less cats then and had only just joined the gang. Same situation but he'd been here for a bit longer now. He did pause in his thinking to peer through the crowd in thoughts of maybe spotting the two students wondering if they were even still alive in the harsh city that was ready to swallow them all whole.


<DappledSun> Talicka rolled her eyes. "I wasn't gossiping, just thought I'd pass on information to you about your own mentor." She gently bumped him [Ty] before noticing another cat. "Erskine!" She meowed happily, rather happy to see another guard that was at the festival, even if he was half asleep. She frowned, poking him in the side with her paw. "Hey, lazy ass, get up!" She meowed, somewhat happily. She then turned to Ty, recalling he had asked her yet another question. "Not today. I saw the Cahayan leader... I think I mentioned that though... didn't I? Past that it's only been- Oh wait I talked to Asher earlier. He's not that bad of a cat, though he tests me just about as much as Damian does." She rolled her eyes at that and then poked the guard again. "Erskine!" She meowed, this time a little louder. What did it take to wake this cat up? Did she have to literally scream in his ears? She frowned, her tail lashing back and fort as she shook her head and glanced at Ty, since she wasn't all that far from him. Their conversation could still be carried on easily from her spot beside the younger guard. "Though I think I figured out a few things about our leader. I'm still not exactly sure what to think of him and all." She shrugged. It was pretty obvious to most cats that there was something going on between the two, though it wasn't blatantly so that the two of them were secretly confused and conflicted over their feelings. Actually, Tali hadn't seen the tom past a few quick words or sightings in a few days, and she didn't want to be following the tom around like some lovestruck fool now, not when so many cats were out and about. Talk about being a recluse, I can't admit how I feel about a cat to myself and I avoid showing any form of affection or even interest in the tom past a few words... though I think my friends can tell exactly what I'm doing each time I bring him up... Damn, can't I just like... Have a day were he doesn't crop up into my conversation? She slowly dug her claws intot he ground as she thougth about. SHe was so easily irritated by the tom! Even thinking about him caused these sudden rash and rather confusing conflicts of interest. She frowned and shook her head, her ears falling back onto her head. She felt rather silly, standing there beside the sleeping guard talking to Ty, but it wasn't that bad. After all, she saw the young raider student as a good friend, even if she thought he needed to listen to her tips a little more often.


<Sky-Lily> "Erskine!"

Funny, why was he thinking of his name all of a sudden?

"Hey, lazy *ss, get up!"

Mildly surprised by such irritable words being spoken so happily, Erskine didn't have much more response than to lightly shift his paw over his eyes. He was in the half-awake state where one only sought to ignore disturbances, and the possibility of these disturbances being an actual person didn't even come to mind.

That is, until he heard "Erskine!" again. "Mmm, wha..?" the guard mumbled as he finally sat up and rubbed his eyes with a paw, the cobblestone imprinted into the side of his fur. That voice... hey, hadn't he heard it before? He blinked out the bleariness and turned to the now softer noise, slowly recognizing the blue cloth and the gray, mottled fur to be a much-liked friend. "Tal..? Talicka, h-" his first attempt to a hello had drawn out into a yawn before he shook his fur, wearing a happy expression on his face. "Talicka, hi! You made it!"
